A visit from the BBC! (30th March Antiques, Fine Art & Jewellery)

As you may have heard we have a very special sale coming up taking place on the 30th March. The sale is one of our regular Antiques, Fine Art & Jewellery sales. We have one of these every 3 months and tend to save away some of the more valuable and distinct items that find their way through our doors especially for these sales.

This sale however is a little extra special as we have the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip visiting as part of their 13th series. These two familiar faces will be joining us on sale day along with their cameras and crew!

Anita and Raj will be travelling around Norfolk buying items of interest from local shops and fairs and then bringing them to us to put into auction and competing to see who can make the highest profit (or lowest loss!) before continuing on to the next leg of their trip.

Being no stranger to TV appearances himself our auctioneer David Palmer is also sure to be in great form on the day and will no doubt keep the laughs rolling.

Our catalogue will be online on Friday 25th March and can be found on our own website or at either of our online bidding platforms covered below. For anyone local or in the area we will be viewing on Saturday 26th 10am-12.30pm and Tuesday 29th 10am-5pm as well as on the morning of the sale 8.30am-10am. If you’re not able to reach our saleroom then you can request condition reports either through the online catalogue or by sending us an email/giving us a call.

How To Bid

Join us in the room

You can join us on the day just by popping into our Beeston sale room nestled up in the quaint countryside of Norfolk, all are welcome and entry is free as always. You will need to register for a bidding number before the sale starts which you can do by talking to the lovely Diana at our reception desk on the day. Alternatively shoot us a quick email with your Name, Address, Phone and Email and we’ll get you set up in advance.

Bid from Home/Work

We have 2 different online bidding platforms available: BidOnThis and the-saleroom. Whilst the-saleroom is a well established bidding platform already in popular use and well-known to our regular online bidders, BidOnThis are our newcomers and have the advantage of providing mobile-friendly bidding so you can bid from your smart phone or tablet. And also have a 1.5% fee (the lowest of any bidding platform). We’ll let you decide, you can register for the sale with either platform below.

We can also arrange a telephone bid where one of our members of staff will call you as your desired lots are coming up and bid in the room on your behalf over the phone. Call or email us before the sale day to arrange this.

Leave a Commission Bid

If you are not interested in bidding live as the sale progresses or have other plans that conflict you can always leave a commission bid with us and our seasoned auctioneer David Palmer will bid on your behalf. Just give us a call or send an email with the items you wish to bid on, your maximum bids and your bidding number if already registered with us. If not registered then please provide a name, address, phone and email so we can get you set up.

How to sell

Unfortunately we are no longer taking in items for this sale. Given any spare minutes in our schedule it’s possible we may be able to enter last minute items, get in contact to discuss with us.

We are currently accepting entries for upcoming Antiques, Collectables & Interiors, Vintage Toys & Dolls, Ephemera & Militaria and Antiques, Fine Art & Jewellery sales. Give us a call or send an email and we can arrange an appointment with our valuers. Home visits are available.
